Eliane Boey (she/her) is a writer of speculative fiction, with stories in Clarkesworld, the Penn Review, Galaxy, Solarpunk, and others. She is the author of noir mystery "Club Contango", and space horror and mystery novella duology “Other Minds”, both from Dark Matter INK of Chicago. Forthcoming works include "Small Bites" a weird horror novella with Space Cowboy Books (11.11.26) , and “The Ah Huat Engineering Cookbook and Organizing Manual”, a cosy SF novella, with Stars and Sabers (Spring 2027). She is the inaugural Lien Fung's Colloquium Artist-in-Residence (2025-2026) at the Singapore Management University's College of Integrative Studies.
Eliane has an MLitt in Philosophy from the University of St Andrews, and an MA in Interdisciplinary Humanities and Social Thought from New York University. She also has a business degree from the Singapore Management University, which was probably what got her a job at all. Prior to writing, she worked for some years in dry bulk shipping and mining logistics. Eliane lives in Singapore.
